They’re ok

The screws would not tap through the metal roofing. I had to pre drill all the holes. When I started, I tried without pre drilling and the screw tip would just dull and turn blunt. Pre drilling worked, but I was under the assumption that they would self tap through the metal roof.

Thanks for leaving us a review. Stainless steel has great corrosion resistance but is a soft metal. The carbon steel metal roofing is harder so the screws will need to be pre-drilled when using the SS screws. We also carry a ST-XL which is a stainless steel cap with a carbon steel shank, this screw will go through the metal panel and has a small drill point tip. Please let us know of any questions.

Woodbinder screws

These screws are fantastic. They were recommended to me by a friend that is an iron worker. The fact that they’re completely SS combined with the large head that covers the rubber washer better means they are much less likely to leak over time.

Good screws, wrong color

I am, basically, happy with these screws. I have purchased them twice and they serve my purpose with a couple caveats. I ordered charcoal gray to be used with snow guards for my roofs where I installed charcoal gray aluminum shingles. However the screws, while labelled that color, actually look more like a light brown so I had to spray paint the screws so that they would match.

Also, the second batch that I ordered was short a half dozen screws and another couple dozen were missing their washers. Fortunately, by my calculations, I should still have enough to do what I need but buyers should just beware that quality control at the manufacturer may not be ideal.
