This single bubble white foil insulation roll is 500 square feet making it good for a decent size installation project. The single bubble insulation (also called the white poly/foil roll) is made of one layer of white polyethylene and a layer of reflective foil that cover two layers of polyethylene bubble insulation in the center. Foil backed insulation with a white layer offers a clean looking aesthetic if you are installing the reflective foil in an area where you will be able to see the insulation. The single bubble white/foil combination is also easy to clean if it's in an area that is prone to dirt like a barn or warehouse.
A foil backed insulation roll like this single bubble reflective insulation also is an effective vapor barrier and prevents condensation from forming if properly sealed. For best results, use white polyethylene tape when taping the seems for a continuous vapor barrier. This also ensures that the white foil insulation tape blends with the bubble insulation.
Foil backed insulation with a white layer works to stop radiant heat transfer (up to 97%) and is one of the most cost effective insulation options available.
